Marnie Reinard has been partcipating in Second Life for a little over one year. After being introduced to SL by a friend, she quickly became involved in the art scene in SL as a founder of Careleon Isle, an artist colony and the first of the Caerleon sims. Although she initially limited herself to providing financial support for the Caerleon project, over the last several months, she has begun to study with some of the best artists in SL.

She is currently making abstract, kinetic sculptures, and fantasmagorical flowers and other plants. Her mentors have been astonished by her facility in using the tools available in our virtual world to communicate a sophisticated sense of motion, color, and form, embodied in works that exhibit both formalist and surrealist qualities. Her work has begun to appear at galleries, and she exhibited her hallucinatory poppies at the Dream Exhibition on Caerleon Isle.

Most recently, she was a co-organizer of the very successful human rights art exhibition on New Caerleon.
