four Yip
Four Yip makes her living in “real life” as an illustrator for ad agencies in the Netherlands. Since joining Second Life in early 2007, she has become established as one of the most popular artists in the virtual “metaverse,” her career being meticulously tracked by a throng of admiring bloggers. Her work, which has been exhibited in innumerable galleries and other venues, is probably most notable for its ability to cross multiple boundaries, including those separating art and fashion, manual and digital drawing, two dimensionality and three dimensionality, and the avatar and the external art work. She normally does not sell her art, instead giving most of it away. In fact she does not consider herself a working artist at all, but rather, in her own words, “a complete virtual personal” building and living in “surreal worlds.”
